I've been working on putting a bow together for most of the year now. I bought an older model Hoyt Defiant. 43 inches ata. I replaced the cracked limbs with a pair of elite limbs from another hoyt. Put some number 4 cams on it. And I finally figured out a decent string and cable lengths for the bow. I was basically looking for a nice long distance target bow. I placed my first shots through it yesterday. I'm shooting Carbon Express Max 3D Selects 150's. I shot some out to 60 yards and shot several 3" groups. So don't be afraid to tinker with your equipment. You never know what you'll end up with.

That's why archery is never ending. I've been at this which seems like a life time, and I learn something new everyday. I shot the Max 3D selects 250's today. I was able to shoot several 1 inch groups at 60 yards. I may stick with the 250's. Seems like I obtained a little better arrow flight. I may use the 150's for the longer shots at 70 and 80 yards. If and when I can afford some ACE's until then I'm stuck with the 150's:-) By the way shoot your bow yet MrLongBeard?
