Just wanted to see if anyone has the Cabalas gortex/scentlock boots with 800 grams of thinsulate, and how do you like them? I had Woody Max Muck boots for years and decided on Sat. to get a pair of these new Cabalas boots. Seem very comfy and lite and I like the long zipper infront, it makes it very nice to get them on and off.

I bought an uninsulated pair in 2003 to take out west for a Sept Elk hunt. They felt good and held up good up until last year.I used them hard all year long. They eventually started to leak like most goretex boots will after a while. They also started to skink like crazy after the inside got wet several times.Overall though, they were a good boot for the money.
I wear muck boots most of the time except for when I do alot of hiking in areas with alot of briars.Last year I bought a pair of uninsulated schnees and the jury is still out on them. They hold up great and my feet have yet to get wet. However, they aren't the most confortable boot I've ever used.Time will tell.

I recently bought a pair of Muck Boots. I have worn them on several outings in the woods and I love them. My feet stay dry no matter how hot it gets.
