Looking for state parks with campgrounds. Also, must be able to bring pets. Any suggestions from your area?

I know of 1 or two. One of them is at Black Moshannon State Park not far from PSU and me. I think you can have pets, but I'm not 100% positive. I know the campers walk dogs, but that doesn't mean they are allowed to have them there. I can try to find out in the next week. I don't get there too often these days.
The other is the Tom Mix Campground near Sinnamuhoning(sp). My buddies dad owns it. Its right along the river. I know he rents out by the year, but I don't know about a weekend. I can contact him and ask. Its pretty remote. There are some nice native streams there as well as elk and of course the river is full of fish. This is near the Quehanna Wild Area and not far from Bennezette.

Thanks Tony. I'll be heading to State College near the end of August to move my son in. I'll let you know exactly when and maybe we can get together and you can show me around some.

Sounds good. I checked with my buddy about his dad's campground. He allows pets, but I assume he wants you to clean up after the pets. I'll find out for sure. He rents by the weekend, week and month. I don't know the rates though. I'll have to get the # for you if your interested. Its real nice country down that way.
