When I worked at basspro, we use to go the harrisburg fish and game club to try out new guns brought in by a pro-staffer from cva, after each shot, he ran one or two wet patches through then a few dry patches, once that was done, he would fire a primer in the gun, before reloading it for the next shot. So my question is, does anyone else fire a primer before reloading?

I think some guys do this just to make sure after putting a wet patch down that there is no moisture in the breatch. just a guess
