can a mentored youth hunt the late squirrel season? i am thinking about taking my son out and wasn't sure. the digest has date for mentored youth squirrel hunting but none for the late season. just wondering i don't want to break any rules so i thought i would ask here first.

The way i read the regs for mentor it just covers the one season, it doesn't say anywhere that a mentored youth or junior can hunt in the extended season, best to contact pgc, to be sure.

just found this on the pgc website it looks like they can
— A Mentored Youth can hunt only squirrels, groundhogs, coyotes, antlered only deer (youngsters are required to follow the same antler restrictions as a junior license holder, which is one antler of three or more inches in length or one antler with at least two points) and turkeys (spring season only) in any of their respective seasons, and must follow daily and field possession bag limits for each species

Call the Southwest office. Theyll give you the right answer. That word respective is very gray area. Just look at the turkey regs m/y cant hunt fall season.
