q5 and put 3 layers of yellow dj gel.....same as amber all good to 250+ yards through the scope......ALL MADE AT THE SAME PLANT AS THE KILL LIGHT....i dont shoot that far though....i make my own halo shields from old medicine bottles.... the smaller light is a ...solarforce skyray....

i use an ultrafire w8 230 lumen light on my gun. i also made my own halo shield but i used an empty mountain dew can. i like the medicine bottle idea. the pop can tends get dented. i have a 130 lumen headlamp i got from the last power plant i worked in that i use for scanning unless im at camp where i use a 3D led maglight with tail light tape on the lens for scanning across the river its about 225 yard across

i have the red 250 its on my young nephews rifle...we use it for coons only the center led is far to bright....to much flood....and very little throw....all 3 of the lights i posted will blow past the 250....got friends who own the 250 and went with the 900 lumin and added the amber sheets.....it lets the light through...don't ask me how...but its a strong amber beam....and the sheets hide the center led .....
way less backlighting...because they are all spot and very little flood....
got a light force also here somewhere.....except for the battery weight...its probably the best light out there .....im not so certain these newer lights are as good as the old wired battery lights....with the rheostats and it doesn't take much to see eyes at 150 and call them into 50...
that's why its called calling....i see guys shooting eyes out east 250 yards....one night a farmers gonna move the cows and someones gonna shoot one....

it amazes how expencive some of the gear can be. ive seen spotting lights that cost more that my rifle and the electronic callers arent much better. ill stick with my mouth calls. i like the challange it makes it that much more rewarding to me when i connect......... which i have yet to do but thats why the call it hunting....... or so im told....lol
