They used to roost every winter(mating season) where the new Walmart is going in near Brownsville. Blasted a couple up there myself though I'd never disrupt a roost,I shot at them on their way in and out quite a distance from the roost. I guess they moved to Cal. to get educated. The kids surely ain't getting smart.At least a crow will get out of your way when a 7000# truck approaches, these dumbbells defy you to hit them.They don't know what pain is.

when i grew up here and when we fished my aunts in brownsville at nights when the crows roosted it sounded like a horor movie....it has been many years since hearing them roost up like that and they don't fly much soon as the sun hits there done.....i do have a homemade call...that brings some in from a long ways...

Yeah, There are so many around the trees look like they have large black leaves,it's like the movie...The Birds. But once it warms up they split and just the locals stick around.
