I would like to give this report of my season so far. I hunt in a very popular area. My place is right at the edge of Cook Forest state park along the beautiful Clarion river. I hunt on park land & W. Pa. conservation land, Collins Pine land, plus some private land. So far I have hunted 4 saturdays & 4 mondays. I have been mostly archery hunting with my recurve bow, but these seasons have happened, archery, squirrel & grouse, early muzzle loader for doe, the jr. & sr. doe season. I HAVE NOT SEEN 1 HUNTER YET !! On the 1st day of turkey 1 of my freinds was riding around on all of the roads & stopped at my place to tell me that I was the only hunter that is hunting the whole area. I told him that I am the only 1 dumb enough to come to that area to hunt deer. The few shots that I have heard were no more than the shots that I would normally hear when people are up to their camps on any other weekend.

Archery season is winding down and people are choosing to hunt closer to home these days with gas and all. Itll change on opening day of buck up your way.
