Hi Folks!
Great news!
The Attorney General's Office, as well as the Pennsylvania Game Commission have officially been sent the letter of intent to file a claim for Sunday Hunting in Pennsylvania.
As you know, we can't take the legislature to court. The PGC will not be able to respond with action as its a legislative issue, but the process states we must notify them; and the AG's office of our intent.
They have 30 days to reply (remember, they can't do anything because its a legislative issue) favorably to us, (they can't because of the way the law is written) but this is procedural protocol.
30 days after signed receipt of the letter of intent, we will be filing in Federal Court for Sunday Hunting.
Josh First will be working on a press release for Hunters United for Sunday Hunting. Any member of the press may contact me for Josh's contact info.
Thank you for your patience over the last year while we put the case together and for your support. Now would be a good time to ask everyone you know who supports Sunday hunting to make a donation of whatever they can to the case. This is about all of us and we're going to need some help. The web site for donations is www.huntsunday.com and click on the donate tab. We want every hunter who donates, no matter the amount, to be able to claim ownership in this case, and say with pride, "I was an effective force of change in Pennsylvania Hunting laws". You deserve it, and we are on our way to doing our best to make it happen for each of you.
Josh will outline more details of the case in the press release.
Thanks again, and CONGRATS to all of you! We wouldn't be this far without your support!
Kindest regards,
Kathy, Don, Brad, Denny, Vern, and Josh
