Ladderstands.
Strong built Chief ladderstand Likes -swivel seat which turns 360 degrees -platform size -feels secure
Dislikes -back of seat is to low and is tilting a little to far back
Remington ultra mag ladderstand(2004 model) Likes -Good basic stand for $119 at Gander MT(now $179) -decent seat width
Dislikes -some play in the ladder -squeeks in cold whether
Hunter's View Condo Likes -great sized platform and seat -love the provided blind skirt -comes with large, easily installed roof umbrella -feels pretty secure against tree
dislikes -bar on front of seat cuts circulation -material of blind skirt makes noise if you brush against it -lots of squeeks when cold, especially with the platform-
Just getting started. Have alot more reviews when I have more time.

Buckshot magnum climber likes - very sturdy with the heavy v-bar steel - most comfortable climber I've ever sat in(adjustable back support really helps) - large frame with room to move
dislikes -has to weigh at least 30 lbs and doesn't break down very well -the seat makes noise sitting down or standing up -takes time setting up
Lone wolf hang on likes -one piece construction -no squeeks -light
dislikes -probably the most uncomfortable seat I've ever sat in(haven't tried redesign seat yet)
More reviews coming..

I currently own 2.
API climber Grand slam supreme.
I love the fact that it is portable and sturdy. I can get up the tree quietly and quickly and it doesn't make any noise at all.
I don't like the fact that it is soooo heavy. But that is a price to pay for being mobile I guess. I know there are lighter ones, but just can't justify spending more $$
The other is a ladder stand from Dicks Sporting goods. Bought it 2 seasons ago about 2 weeks before the season for aroudn $50.
It's sturdy and pretty easy to setup and move. I've done it myself in about 30 minutes or so.
the platform is a little small, but it's not bad. Depending on where I am setup, I sometimes stand on the seat just for the extra height.

Pops, I bought one of those basic stands from Dick's as well. There about 15-16ft to the seat with no back and a simple pad that goes over the metal mesh seat. I got it to put on hemlock trees because of it's small footprint. For the $50-60 bucks, it's hard to not have one of these around. Also you're right, one man can easily move and set up these stands as long as you make sure to securely set the crossing can buckle straps and make sure to use the tree/stand brace.(not recommending to do this but it is possible)

Lone wolf. They're quiet, easy to use, fairly light and offer unrestrictive shooting.
dislikes, the handclimber needs to extend the seat out a bout 2 inches and the handclimber need a little wider seat.Other than that, they can't be beat.

Ameristep Ladder stand - I have both mine set at 10 ft. Pro = very comfortable and stable Con = Pain in the butt to setup by yourself Cabellas Tripod Pro = nice for areas with no suitable trees = easy to setup Con = seat doesn't hold up over winter(note to self - remove seat after season )

hunters view (climber)
likes: very comfortable seat and back pad
dislikes: very heavy
Rivers edge (hand on)
likes:this stand doesn't have cables for the platform it has support bars underneath
dislikes: seat is uncomfortable
Strongbuilt(hang on)
likes: inexpense, stand to leave in woods where I have permission being I've had one stolen.
dislikes:bar on seat cuts off circulation to legs, also the point where the platform and seat post fold very sloppy and noisy I welded it to fully open(probably not recomended) but did the job in making it more secure.
