i have a ameristep doghouse blind its a good blind for smaller people i think its really not wide enough for me with my bow but i did kill my first archery buck in one. great for gun hunting it sets up in seconds!thinking on buying the dominater this year! ;D

I use the Primos Double Bull Dark Horse and it is totally awesome. It has plenty of room for 2 people and their gear and you can fully stand up and stretch if needed. The silent slide window system can not be beat by any other blind. I have used Ameristep blinds and my only complaint is the hub system falls apart way to easily and I have spent many a morning at 4:30am fumbling for poles and starting the day off frustrated. The Dark Horse sets up in seconds and is made alot more durable then any other blind I have used. The cost is the only down side but like anything in life, "you get what you pay for" and I will gladly pay the price for quality and durability over frustration anyday. Just my 2 cents

I have the ameristep G-30...enough room for two.. the only complaint I'd have is the Velcro windows their two noisy...It was nice this year in turkey season on a few rainy days I was completely dry, and didn't need to worry about my box calls..

I have a Double Bull Matrix 360. It is by far the best blind on the market aside from the new Dark Horse. I've tried others but they broke (Cabelas brand) or just aren't made for hunters. I had a dog house and a brickhouse and they were junk. I hated the poles and the windows had zippers on them and they folded out. Great wind flap. They also let water in when it rained. I shot a Tom with a 10in beard and 3/4in spurs out of my db. I also got a doe with bow through the screen at 15 yards the first time out with it. I would recommend double bull blinds to any serious hunter. They have enough room for two hunters.

So is the Ameri-step dog house blind too small for a 5'8'' crossbow hunter ?
