How many amongst us wouldn't inform a huntin' buddy with a radio that a monster buck is coming around the point to where he's at?

With alot more of people carrying cell phones now, you don't think they would call their buddy in the next stand about deer coming their way??

my hunting group got the radios when they started to be the thing to have 6-8 yrs ago. At first they were nice to have...nice to talk when things were slow. but then we did use them on occasion to "help" with the hunt, when driving or otherwise. this bothered me enough that I just quit taking it with me, made the excuse I forgot it at home or the batteries were dead. funny thing the rest of the guys kinda got the "message" and now none of us use them anymore. I think we all felt the temptation was too great to use them wrongly. and I think we all got tired of the hassle of carrying them around and listening to other people gabbing, sub channels or not. I think they are great for people who definetly need them, older hunters and handicapped, etc. but for me I have learned to live with out them.....

I know well enough when to quit. Your on your own now Buddy. I'm afraid that after she gets done putting the smack down on you her sense of direction might just be good enough to find where I live.....
