i agree... while this is becoming the computer age more and more many still only know how to use them, it would be nice to have a place where they can get info/help or ideas in general so that they can either make there online experience better by helping them keep there pc in good operable condition

I think the site would grow more if you didn't have to register and log in just to view it. I am not aware of any other free site where you have to do that.

Having to register with a valid email, provides an identity to the board administrator. Public sites that don't require registration usually fall victim to trolls that post inappropriate content and eventually cause the shut down of the forum. Registration only takes a few minutes. If a person wants to join a particular forum, they will take the initiative to register. If they choose not to, I'd have to speculate that their intentions were that in which the site wouldn't care to have in the first place.

Buckslayer & I went back & forth many, many times on this issue. I being the one that was pushing to require registration. After several test periods with obvious results... signifiant membership increases w/requiring registration ...buckslayer agreed that we take our current path..
