I just read a story in OL magazine about a man armed with a .22 rifle, firing into a snow goose decoy spread. A single bullet struck Avery pro-staffer Jocelyn Leger in the head. The poacher, who thought he was shooting at real geese, fled the scene but was later apprehended. Leger died in hospital.
We need to protect ourselves from this type of incident by posting warning signs ( " hunters afield " ) or an orange flag in your blind so that you can warn the intruder.

They should put him in a cardboard box, stand out at about 50 yards and give one of the relitives a 22 and see how long he last.

That’s horrible the sad thing is he won't be charged with man 1 because it wasn’t premeditated. tell that to the Family when he’s out of jail in 5 years

Thats why we as hunters should never travel or hunt alone or without notifying a family member as to where we will be and what time to expect us home, and have someone who is knowledgeable of the area you intend to hunt in ,could be a life saving tip ........
