Im still shooting my first bow---7 year old Hoyt-- Raider --Intruder 65 pound pull with drop rest, Tritium top pin and 1 extra fiber optic for 30 yards. I just added a zebra string last year. Its old by todays standards but she has taken more deer than any one of my guns. I shoot Muzzy 125 gr broadheads with Blackhawk Vapor arrows (Next year Im shooting Eastons) This is the 2nd year Ive gotten bad Blackhawks. In my opinion---why spend $775 for a new set up when Dead is Dead??? However --the new Hoyts sure are tempting---but the wife would take a swing at my head with the skillet if I did..

Still have an Alpha Tech from the first year they were made. At least 10 years old. Its hard to beat for consistency and accuracy. Been using 2114's with 75 gr. Rocky Mtn. Premiers since I got my Canada black bear and Clarion 8 point buck in 2005. Shoots around 270 fps at 64 pounds. Both those animals only went 30 yards and expired. (Shootin traditional now however.) Still practice shooting the Hoyt at 40, 50 and 60 yards to keep sharp.
