THEY started shipping them to dealers....those of you on here that love T/C's can now get one in a bolt action !! They are being shipped in 22/250's, .243's, 308's and the new .30 T/C.. They are a short through bolt, similar to the Browning A-bolt system-60 degree instead of 90. The have an aluminum bedding block and a 5 line rifled barrel..a little different that most American rifles..they look great and I'm sure their workmanship is first class as all of you have come to expect..SO, if you been waiting, your wait is over..as soon as I see one on the range I'll let you know how they shoot.. sure didn't take long for them you make the jump.

I got the chance to look at the Icon on Sat. I was not impressed with the wood that was on this one. The photos you see presents a much nicer piece of wood. The gun does have a goos feel to it. The action is very smooth and the bolt handle is a bit different. Price $819.00 This gun was sitting next to a Kimber priced at $985.

SAD part is the Browning A-bolts, the 700 stainless's are not to far off the $800 prive tag...glad I'm not in the market..oh, well...make the investment once and it's good for the rest of your life I guess......

Rather spend $800 on something guaranteed for life than one that is not!!! T/C has a great track record and stands behind what they build-------------I agree the price is steep BUT I am a firm believer "You get what you pay for". JMHO Encore28

I'll save my final judgement until I see one in action off the bench...that 30T/C seems like it would make a fine PA all around cartridge..

I would rather spend another 100 bucks on a Kimber. The T/C as already stated has a ugly wood stock. Then the bolt handle is kinda sharp. So if you cycling the next round it could prove to be uncomfortable in the heat of the woods. The Kimber gets my nod besides there is not one person among us that can say Kimber does not stand behind its products!

Fastarrrow I did not say the wood was ugly it just did not live up to my expectation. I like a deep finish on a wood stock and it just did not have it.

DK, The ugly comment was my own brother! I as well had high expectations of the wood duer to the price they are asking for the rifle.

GENTLEMEN...we all have opinions about everything, please respect each others and not argue the merrits of them..we've all seen or been victims of these types of arguments on other boards, hopefully a little toleration..as for myself, I could care less about what they look like...only what they shoot like...come to think of it, I don't own a single rifle anymore that's not synthetic or stainless... LET's all be nice......
