I was hoping to someday see one of the big gun companies offer the 6BR directly from the factory..the day has come !! SAVAGE is now offering not one but two version's of the 6BR... The first is the precision long range shooter, stainless-synthetic with a one in 14 twist, the other which is very interesting indeed is their F-Class laminated version with a 1 in 8 twist... Factory ammo will be available from norma and certainly others shortly...for those of you who have always wanted a tack driver, either of these will outshoot anything in most of your gun cabinets with ease..the 6 BR is almost a PPC and with the heavier fast twist you can compete in 1000 yard benchrest for under a $1000.00...many spend 5 times that amount, a couple of times...the fast twist will be an awesome varmint killer...easily out to 600 yards without much of a problem...a six ounce trigger will help benching and hunting... SAVE your money, you will not regret buying one for benching or long range shooting.. I'll be purchasing the fast twist, can't wait to give her a go....

FAST TWIST in a .243 = 6mm barrel is usually 1 turn in 8 inches...rememeber that these are less than 1/4 inch in diameter, so 100 grains or so is a long skinny bullet when compared to 100 grain 30 caliber bullets that look short and stubby..... YOU usually see fast twist 6mm's weighing in a 105-108 grains.....they go through the air like needles and fight the wind...but shoot one out of a 1 in 14 twist and it will not stablize..it just doesn't spin it fast enough...6mm =.243, 105-108's are about as good as it gets...they shoot out to 1000 yards with no problem.... these Savage 6BR's are going to cause a stir...
