Well, after 6 years with Lund Jon with planning to do Chincoteague, VA saltwater fishing I decided to trade my Lund Jon in on a new Lund Wilderness Series SSV-16 semi-V. Also a "No Frills" boat but a well made boat which will handle the backwater/bays better than my jon. Has more load capacity plus with the semi-V Lund design IPS Hull will handle the chop better. Will keep my 25 HP Johnson. Ordering a 2008 so will be about 6 weeks.

Berks You are very perceptive Berks!!! ;D Told Mrs. Loggy that the lil Lund Jon was marginal down there & didnt want her to have to swim to shore if we got into trouble!! That was the ticket!! ;D

Hey Loggy,
Newby here on the pao site. But not to the 16' Lund. I have that same boat with a little different center seat. It is a awesome boat that will take a beating and keep on floating. I have 30 Johnson on mine and she scoots pretty good. Little sluggish with 3 grown men but I can usually shift the weight around and she'll hop on top.
Good Luck and great fishing to you!!

Your welcome Loggy and from Gully says you will always be welcome!! I'm sure the 25 will be plenty of motor it's only when I throw 3 200lb + guys in mine that I wish I had more HP. If you get down next summer I'll take you out where Gully still hasn't caught a Red Drum in my little Red Lund!!

A very tough decision in partin with a boat that gave me so many great fishin trips/memories! The 16' Wilderness Series SSV will better serve me in the bigger waters i will soon be sailing. Best wishes to my lil 16" Lund Jon & its new owner for many memorable fishin trips!!
