Do you guys wax your boat? If so do you notice a difference in speed since wax repells water. I heard it helps reduce friction on the water?

Cheapest form of "anti-fouling paint" you can use - 2 guys that berth their boats at Walnut Creek - wax the bottom of their boats but leave the wax on - they don't buff it off.. it really helps keep the "mung" off the bottom of the hull.. the guys will put thier boats on the trailers and run them up to the carwash to clean them up alittle bit..

I know own a Lund Wilderness alum so no need to wax. Prior I owned a fibergalss Trophy Bayliner with a friend & we had daughters( ;D) wax it one a year with a good quality marine max. Helped protect the gel coat.
