At 55 I'm still looking for my first boat. Don't have a wife anymore to tell me no , just tryin to finish raising my 17 year old son. My sister called me last week from North Carolina telling me she's trying to talk her new husband into giving me his old 14 foot semi-v sport fisher boat and trailer. She said the trailer needs some work (tires and bearings and such), but the boat is in great shape. He hasn't had it in the water since 1986 You won't believe this, I didn't, but he's using it to collect rain water to water his garden with. He puts the drain plug in when he knows it's going to rain, collects the rain water, then takes the plug out when he's done. I figure if I can trade him a couple of plastic "pickle" barrels he might sign the boat over to me. Hail, it's worth a try.

Hey Loggy, hows that new rig of yours working out ? Get a chance to take it out yet ? I know I got a terrible case of cabin fever. Opening day of trout is still a good 4-5 weeks away for me.

I know your chomping at the bit. me to. Hang in there bro, it'll be here soon enough. Got at least 10 more years myself till I can retire and do what I want when I want. Looking forward to that, even if it is only on social security and what little I can scrape together between now and then.
