Loggy, your boat dealer sounds like someone I would have liked to deal with. I bought my boat from Gettysburg Marine, Love the boat, my 2ND Smokercraft, but could have had a better dealer. The boat has snap in carpet, but only in the back floor area, all the inside walls, and the entire front deck is carpet that cant be removed, and your thoughts are right on the nail. I got way too much tied up in this HOLE IN THE WATER. lol

A 12 foot hand built sea skiff that my dad and his buddy built when they were just teenagers (Dad's 74 and his buddy Garret is 80 now). It was okume marine plywood with teak trim and I ran a 3.5 hp sears motor on it that you had to flip the motor backwards to go in reverse. That boat was unsinkable. After 52 years it finally gave up the ghost. Dad and I refastend it when I was a teenager. Hundreds or bronze screws. It took us all summer to refit her.
Intersting side note is that Garret Sanford, my dads buddy went on in life to design boats for Pearson boat builders in Newport, RI. I can go to the grave knowing I owned his first!

Loggy,
Jeff is the only guy in PA I let work on my boat motors. I've been to some real rip-off artists but Jeff is a stand up guy and he will do the job right and charge you a fair wage.
