Hey follow flinters, I would like to buy one of those loading blocks that holds the patch and round balls. Anyone know where I can buy online. I have been looking without success.

Sean, it sounds like you need an excuse to head down to Dixon's. He's closer to you than Cabela's, and I'll guarantee you'll buy more than a couple of loading blocks.
I've bought loading blocks in the past from Dixie Gun Works, but sorefoot is correct, they're easy to make.
Loading blocks are a great way to pass the time in the deer woods, too. I sit and whittle on mine to give them that "personal" touch.

Loggy, when Chuck's loading block display is up to capacity, I'm pretty sure he covers the top three calibers: .45, .50, and .54. When I used to shoot competition with my .45, I bought my blocks from Dixie Gun Works. They carried blocks with 10 cavities which was usually a couple more than I needed for a three minute rapid fire relay.
To make your own, check the MuzzleloadingForum.com (under charts) for drill bit recommendations for cavity size. Use hard wood for your blocks.

I'm need a loading block which also acts as a stand to hold a 36 cal 1851 Navy revolver in place vertically while keeping both hands free to load the cylinders with the powder, patch and ball. (I saw one in a video) I'm not interested in just a piece of wood with a few holes drilled in it. Surely someone manufactures these things or has some detailed photographs of how one should be constructed. Am I in the wrong forum? I would appreciate any help or advice.
