I have a couple Sightron s2's on some rifles. They have excellent tracking, hold up to recoil well, have excellent eye relief and offer excellent clarity and light transmission. Two weeks ago I put a new Sightron Big sky scope on my 300 wsm.I think they're awesome scopes for the money and every bit as good as Leupolds.

No scope tracks as well as a sightron and that's a well known fact. The optic quality of the new big sky models actually exceeds the quality of the vari x 111.They're awesome scopes for the money.

I've noticed alot sitting on the line at my Groundhog Match...for the money the guys seem well pleased with their product... I've seen $2000.00 --- $3000.00 sitting right next to them and not scoring 10 times higher scores !! EARLY APRIL 5th...is coming soon...can't wait to let them fly at 500 yards...love the delay !! NEW dates and rules are posted. www.mifflincosportsmens.com

DOUGELL....HOW CAN YOU MAKE A STATEMENT LIKE THAT !!! TAKE A TRIP TO A LONG RANGE MATCH AND SEE HOW MANY OF THE WINNING GUNS ARE USING SIGHT-TRON's....THE vast majority are Lightforce's nightforce's....the Leupold's and March's... Please don't believe what DOUGELL has spewed forth with that comment...

I can make a statement like that because I've owned several Leupolds and three different sightrons.Every sightron that I've ever had has tracked absolutely perfect.Ever own a sightron Frank?

What is meant by "tracking"?

TRACKING = repeatablitly, will it return to the previous setting once you turn the knobs...you'd be surprised at how many so called "good" scopes will do it for awhile but they wear and don't repeat very well. The average deer hunter sights his/her rifle in and only needs a slight turn one way or the other to reset it...competition shooters on the other hand or long range shooters are turning constantly...some actually wear them out completely, I wore out my first 4X16 Leupold in about three years..and that's a $500 scope,...THE average deer hunting/varmint shooting scope would wear out in no time turning two or three complete circles constantly ..companies are now making special scopes that have the right stuff that doesn't wear, great springs and contact materials..The Leupold Series D scopes, their competition line.. all the Nightforces, the March scopes and a few other special companies...personally I like the Lightforce nightforce..when you look through them you'll see the difference at $1500 plus...these are all high high end scopes that are designed to "track" cerrectly...I turn my scope knobs around multiple times over lots of days in the summer shooting schedule...also the quality of the optics, how many standard deer/varmint scopes can see .22 cal holes at 500, 600 and 1000 yards..but believe it, they make scopes that can see them.. I've watched flies walk around on my target face many times at 500 yards and have actually tried to hit them, close but not close enough... Sight-tron, for the money AOK, but don't compare them to the big boys...come to the long range matches and see for yourself.
