All of my rifles (which is a lot ;D) have Vari X II's 3 x 9 on them. I had a Bushnell many many years ago on one of my first rifles that gave me trouble, the cross hairs floated and it was impossible to sight in the gun as every time you took it out the point of impact had changed. Took it back to the store and the other two of this model they had left on the shelf had the very same problem. At this point I applied the credit toward a Leupold and I've never been happier. I've taken them to Alaska, British Columbia, other parts of Canada and throughout the West and never one ounce of problems even when roughly handled by the airlines.

Own 4 leupolds. Had 1 3-9 vx compact that the gases leaked out of, had the scope for 19 years (my First) sent it back to them and they rebuilt it free of charge with all new optics and as far as scope capes. They even pad the shipping. Can't beat them, they stand behind there equipment.

Iv'e got 4 Leupolds all are 2x7. Never had a problem. I got one of them on E-Bay and the adjustment looked like they had been turned with a chisel, sent it back to Leoupold and it came back looking like it was brand new. Great service lifetime warenty. IMO that can't be beat.

I own at least a dozen or more..dollar for dollar, ounce for ounce they are the best buy on the market..they stand by their lifetime warrenty without question..I've only had to send one back that war worn from target shooting competitions..it was replaced without question in 5 days....would not ever consider buying anything else for hunting..3X9, is all you'll ever need...

Every Rifle I own has a Leupold on it - the only fault I can find is on the lower end "VX I" model - the adjustment is in 1/2 " clicks - instead of the 1/4" clicks of the higher end scopes - but that is splitting hairs in hunting conditions
