I just won a scope on ebay. It has a "Ranging Reticle, 250-500 yards". How does this work?

Burris sent me the info on this, it's both a rangefinder and a range compensator reticle. It has 2 crosshairs, the upper one moves up in the reticle as the range knob is increased and remains zeroed at 200 yards, while the center crosshair is zero for the range selected. If anyone wants a copy of the info they sent me, email me and I'll send it. I have it saved as a pdf file. I'm going to mount it on my 760, 30-06, as this is what it's set up for. The seller also sent me the same info and said he used it on his 30-06 for Elk hunting. He's from Colorado.
