always carry a bag of mule team borax in your creel or tackle box. if you are unable to get your fish into the freezer put your fish in the borax and basically give him a coating of borax. like shake and bake. the brightener in the borax along with the lack of oxygen to the fish skin will keep the fish from turning black. johnny z

bird hunters always carry a pair of womens stockings in your pack when your in the feild, heres why when you shoot a nice bird in the am and the hunt a few more hrs with that thing rollin around in your game bag all the feathers are gonna get bent and broke. all oyu gotta do to keep the feathers straight is put your hand al the way down into the stockings like your gonna turn them inside out. grab the bird gently by the head and turn the stockins inside outwith the bird on the inside now. keeps em in perfect shape. works well with squirrels too johnny z

go look at a taxidermist work before deciding on a cheap price, you get what you pay for and if it is cheap it is low quality.

deer hunters remember this: after the buck is on the ground dont tie your rope around his neck. and certainly dont hang him by his neck. deer hair is hollow and can kink and even break if put under too much stress. broken hairs are irreplaceable. try to tie your drag rope around the deers front hooves and rack this will spread the weight of the deer out more and keep all those neck hairs intact. johnny z

guys if you dont already have a regular taxidermist. start looking around now. most shops arent real busy so guys have a little more time to answer questions. and you are not under the gun and in a hurry to find someone to do your mount.
