Who's ready for the opener. All my deeks are clean and packed. Only thing left is mudding the blinds. Truck has been inspected and tuned up and the bike is ready for scouting. Been seeing lots of geese getting ready to fly. Fields are all lined up, just need a few new ones this year. Going after crows this weekend to get back in the rhythm. As you can tell I'm itching and need to scratch at something.

I actually went & did some scouting today with a friend who raises Chessies(gave the dogs a work out with some retrieving also, her Chessies & my GSPS). May go out with her a few times, have a few decent spots lined up!

Are you hunting water or fields. If you hunt water they will leave the area, hunting fields will make them move to another field but they will still be in the area. Our group never hunts water to keep them around, we just chase them from field to field. Works great. Over 200 geese for our group last year. And the population is still growing.

Mostly fields that are near water. One spot is a pond hidden from view.(large beaver dam)
