Tell us about your hunting knife. Mine is a Case with a 3" blade. I bought it when I delivered newspapers as a kid. It's forty years old and it's the only knife I carry.

Mine is a 3" Buck knife, I had another one, Buck 6" but I lost it when I rolled down a hill in the snow while. I still look for it when I go to the same area. My dad gave it to me when I killed my first deer.

My primary is an Olsen that I bought from LL Bean many years ago. I'm retiring it this year so I can hand it down to my son someday. For small game I carry a folding Puma. Two really good knives. My knife collection is a lot bigger than that.
Probably the knife with the most meaning to me is the bone-handled Schrade Uncle Henry that my deceased brother gave to me many years ago. Three years ago I gave it to my son on his first deer hunt, and I said "don't lose this knife!" Of course you know what happened. On the last day of our hunt in the mountains, it slipped off his belt when natured called, a mile from the nearest road on a steep mountainside. Here's the best part: I went turkey hunting there 11 months later and looked for it. Found it buried under the leaves. Talk about a needle in a haystack! The leather sheath was chewed up, but it cleaned up pretty good. Now the knife has a story connected to it that my son can pass on some day when he has kids.
