i plan on using shot 8 this year..where can you buy a dove stamp?at the poist office??anyone know the date this year dove opens?

The migratory bird stamp can be purchased from any license issuing agent. The seasons and bag limits are announcd through the news and available at post offices in early September. A Federal duck stamp is needed by anyone 16 yrs and up to hunt any waterfowl in addition to the migratory bird stamp. As far as shot size, I also use 8 shot for dove(and for woodcock)

71/2 or 8.modified or full choke all depends on where i'm at and how they are flying.no stamp required unless your after waterfowl.$3.00 migratory bird permit when you buy your license.season usually starts in sept.dove opener is huge in the south

8 or 9 shot for me when I used to hunt them.
