Went out this evening to hunt doves for the last time before next week(archery opens). Wasn't 10 feet from the car at a freshly cut corn field, when about 50 of them come flying in. Managed to get 12 shots off(all misses ), couldn't reload the gun fast enough, they just kept comming. 1/2 hour later 6 more came in, got one out of this bunch. had 8 more come in while retrieving my bird. Just before sunset(quitting time for early season dove) had a loner come in. dropped him on the first shot. All in all fired 32 shots and got only 2 birds , need to work on my wing shooting ;D. Not bad though considering the national average for dove hunters is 8 shots per bird, mine tonight was 16 ;D

sounds like it was fun, even if the gun wasn't shooting straight. I got out yesterday and we got 9 birds in about 40 shots.

I got off about 20 shots and got 5 dove and lost 1. Sounds like we all need shooting lessons and practice.

I used to shoot with a multi-titled national champ & he couldn't help!! I'm actually pretty good at skeet/sporting clays, but hit a live bird, well, that's a different story.....

Dont worry all Todd can not shoot to save his life. Cause of him the reloading industry has a nice and safe future!
