Went up to the Wexford state game lands today with the boys (jager and braveheart my GSP's) and hunted hard. At first I though it was going to be a sh*ty hunt then I was like I will hunt the same fields that I already hunted. Within the first field and only 5 min I put up 3 roosters and got 2 boy the boys were loving it they were so mad when I put them in the truck. I wanted to hunt them more but did not want to put to much on the birds and push them into the real nasty brush for the other hunters. Anybody else have any luck??

Went out for a few hours this evening, got 2, put up several others and a woodcock. Was a lot of snow & the birds were all in multiflora & nasty stuff.....hard to get up, running a lot!! Fields were totally down & snow covered, had several birds run down pine tree strips & bust out the ends, no shots. (dog would go on point on one end & bird would run down & come out the other to far for a shot) Saw a couple sets of bear tracks!!

I was out yesterday and saw 5 birds, got one and missed three. The dog did great! Don't ask me where... I'm not talking. There were several more birds crowing at dark.

I've been out many many times so far this year. Atleast once a week since the youth hunt. I have an unfair advantage as I own a game bird farm and I make sure there are birds in my fields. I personaly have killed 7 pheasants, 1 grouse, and 7 quail but there have been 14 pheasants, 2 grouse, and 10 quail killed over my GSP. If some of the guys I have taken out could shoot the numbers would be more impressive.
