What's everyone do with their spent shells??? I have a pet peeve......it's seeing empty shells laying all over the place. Last time I walked the gamelands, I picked up about a dozen. I once picked up about 20 by a pond edge some waterfowlers left!! I always pick my used shells up, I realize depending on the gun, you may lose a few shells.......but it bugs me to see them laying all over, I always pick up others to.

Good for you, I also try to pick up all my spent shells and any others I find. The majority of my hunting is on my own property and I just don't like to see them laying on the ground.

if i remember i pick them up. hard to do when you get old and can't remember. a lot of the local farmers ask that you pick them up due to them getting stuck in hay.

Since I reload mine, I make every effort to pick them up after the shot, however once in awhile I can't find one or two that goes into the tall grass or a brushpile

I make a conscious effort everytime. In dove and duck and goose it is alot easier being stationary, phez and grouse things happen alot faster and sometimes lose sight of them. A great subject since a few farmers have thrown people off their property for that reason, hard enough to get permission lets not throw chances away.

I try to always pick mine up, but when I shoot at grouse I'm either in too thick of stuff to find the empties, or I just hit one and hurried over to it outta excitement forgetting about my shell.

Good topic zodiak. When I'm out deer sign scouting I find spent shells everywhere left behind from grouse hunters. It really ticks me off , giving this hunting sport a bad name.
