I don't personally own one but I have shot some and get to see some shoot at the groundhog matches around the state.. they seem to be highly accurate for the most part, mild recoil compared to some centerfire .22's... they are much better for hunting than the .17's in my opinion, they are great for not damaging pelts to the extent of bigger faster .22's and .24 calibers... so over all I'd say they have made their niche in the varmint hunting world... their only limit would be range and killing power... give me my good ole .22/250 and I'll adjust the velocity up and down to get the same results as all these other lesser power cartridges... but they have made a name for themselves and for the most part the only complaint I've ever heard is killing range.. keep em' under 175-200 yards on most varmints and it'll be fine.. also those lightweight bullts would be floating if you ran them through some big cross winds.. overall, not a bad cartridge at all...however, it doesn't seem to be speading much, everything seems to have leveled off..

Thanks frank for the input. I am picking a new cz 527 204 up tomorrow night. I can't wait. The long distance realy dosn't bother me for I can't shoot more then 150 most places I hunt. I think it will just be a fun little gun. Thanks again

Shoot the new 204 this past weekend and love it. I shoot a whole box of Hornady 40 gr. threw it because I was having so much fun. You could easly cover the groups at 100 with a dime.
