A friend used to run charters, Bob Romanishin, had Wallhanger Charter, he was featured on one of the fishing shows before....can't think of the name. Not sure he still does it, but the BEST Walleye fishing I ever did. I'll ask my sisters father, he ran the biggest charter service out of Erie for years, he had 3 boats, The Witchcraft, The Poor Charlie & one other.(we're half sisters btw....)

I don't run a charter but would be more than happy to take some folks out for the eyes or perch.

You can catch them at night off shore then too, they come up to the creek mouths to feed on the smolts going out into the lake. I've caught them before this way, just throw a rapala.....no lights. Had the best luck off Trout Run but it gets pretty packed with fishermen.

I used to go on charters out of Port Clinton, but haven't for awhile now.
Zodiak---I was going to post a question about night fishing from shore on Erie. Thanks for posting that info. I may be one of the crowd this spring!

Zodiak To avoid crowds at night, there is a small stream between Trout and WALNUT I used to fish. You park in a housing development and walk down a steep hill {about a half mile}. I don't remember the name of the stream. It is about five feet wide. I had my best luck with 10 inch rapalas, rebels or thundersticks.
