A group of cachers from geocaching.com got together this weekend to help get a church camp ready for the season. The camp is a Baptist Church camp located along the banks of the Yough River in Fayette County, called Camp Carmel. The only road in is a rutted, washed out, dirt road through the Dunbar Mountains. But you could do as my wife and I did; ride a bike five miles up the bike trail. We rode in and out Friday evening and again this morning. The camp allowed all who volunteered to sleep in cabins Friday and Saturday night. My son is still up there, hopefully tired out from a hard days work. We painted cabins, inside and out, painted bunk beds, cut grass, cut, split, and stacked firewood. It feels good knowing we were able to help some people out who, in turn, help others. Here are a couple of pictures of the camp and of the gazebo going up. When my son gets home with the other camera, I'll post some more.

That's a really great thing you guys got together and did. Thanks for volunteering to help others. Not many groups do stuff like this anymore.
