I've been hunting geese for 3yrs. The up coming season will be 4th. This is the 1st year I've seen a lot of large flocks this time of year. (40 or more birds) Is normal or not. Is this a sign that a lot of small ones where lost this year. I just thought I would ask.
2 mths, 3 wks to go till early goose season.

No, more then likely they are last years young that weren't mature enough to breed this year. We had a really good hatch last season.

Thanks for the reply. I have seen a lot of young birds. I just haven't seen big flocks in the past this early in the year.
