Weather here is supposed to break some by afternoon, winds dying down & rain turning to snow so should be good to go. We are also taking a ground blind in case it doesn't quit raining.......right now, windier than heck & pouring out. Hope it does blow over or may not go, winds are gusting 25+.

Well, made it out around 1 for an afternoon hunt in Warren. Going in saw CRAZY amounts of deer signs, heavy trails, droppings everywhere & scattered tracks, tons of them!!! Was raining a bit, got the ground blind up & got settled. Never saw a tail! Don't get it other than it's a mainly AM spot, weather broke, wasnt windy & sun tried to pop out around 3. Going back for sure Mon or Tues early AM. Also saw a TON of bear sign, saw about 12 piles of scat in a 100 square yd area.

I went out around 2pm. Stood for a while in two places, then just ambled about in my greenbriars. I actually jumped 8 deer but only saw 1(found 8 fresh beds). Didn't get a shot. I've been trying to put a hunt together here but it's like pulling hen's teeth getting anyone to commit.

I spent the day on the range and have it just about ready. I'm getting a pretty slow ignition and it really messes with me. I have to wipe off my frizzum and flint every shot or two, if I don't it won't go off. Do I have too much powder in the pan or is it natural?

Its possible you are using too much powder also check to make sure the touch hole isnt obstructed

A little 4 F goes a long way. Lot of people overfill their pan thats just delaying the shot more.
