Anyone shooting a Middleton out there? I'm shooting a 330 DTM. I prefer the recurve platform. This is a very nice package. You just don't see too many around!!

Have owned 3 recurves (excal Phoenix, Vortex and Equinox) and 2 compounds (Parker Terminator and Cyclone)...so far. Recurves are wider but much simpler to maintain, tough as nails and accurate to a fault. I enjoy shooting my Cyclone but shoot the Excaliburs far more often. Especially like being able to let the bow down without having to shoot it - esp when it's dark - as I do with the Excals. Middleton looks like a good recurve just not sure about their customer support or how long they will be around. Excal? It's know for customer service, lifetime warranty and great products Make my own arrows, strings and bow maintenance equipment now. Knowing what I do, I'd avoid newly introduced models until the bugs are worked out and shoot first before I buy. Bow fit and feel are very personal, not to be trusted with what someone else bought or likes.

Middleton crossbows are basically an Excalibur copy. The owner of Middleton use to work for Excal.

Have you ever seen, shot or held a Middleton? Being from Canada you may have had the chance. Middleton's are few & far between here in the states. Their limbs are dramaticly different, much thinner. My 330 is a 200lb pull and it shoots 346 fps. My same pull Excal Exocet 200 shooting the same arrow comes in at about 323fps. While they do look alike to the untrained eye they are different. I like them both...

Sorry Tim, I was referring to earlier models. Just what I had read on the Excalibur forum.
