anyone out there hunt snow shoe rabitts?seem like alot bigger..also around 2b there arent any,where do you hunt em at?

I shot a few in Maine when I was in college.
I believe you have to get north of I-80 to find hares.

It was weird to hunt the snowshoe hare in Maine after the hares turned white but before it actually snowed. We'd walk through the woods spot them real easy. They thought they were hidden but they were actually sticking out like sore thumbs.
You get three snowshoe hares in your game bag and you're lugging some weight around. LOL

i'd like to try my hounds on them i here they run totaly different than a cottentail? I here the snowshoes go more or less straight out a long ways and straight back?

From my experience, at least in maine, they didn't seem to run too far. They usually did run in a straight line though.

Manage to kill a few every year here in PA. I don't know how to post pics here? Hare tend to run larger circles than cottontails. Not uncommon for the hounds to take them out of hearing range then return later. At least with hare you don't have to worry about them going in the hole.

Beagler looks like you got the pic thing figured out ok! Nive pics and some great looking hounds! Cool hair mount as well! I have a red fox and a rabbit in the freazer and want to mount them together with a little plack on it saying (Last Supper) and display at our beagle club ;D

Went to the ANF today for grouse, saw hare tracks EVERYWHERE, place was loaded with them, saw 2 hares too. May go up after X-Mas for a hunt, never hunted them before. Nice pics Beagler!!
