one of my friends from PA that used to be in my unit was blown up in afghanastan on tuesday. hes in alot better spirits than i would be if i were in his shoes but he was always a mentally strong guy and always found the positives in things. he had both legs from the knee down and his right index finger and part of his right thumb blown off. this guy is a true hero and id thought id share his story on here. www.centredaily.com/2013/05/16/3618611/i-lost-my-legs-state-college-high.html

Thank you for sharing this story. This soldier is a great inspiration and an amazing example of un-breakable will just be sure he knows that he is in our thoughts and prayers. From one Veteran to another I am and always will be eternally grateful for his sacrifice and everything you guys do for this country. Citizens of the US take for granted what soldiers have to deal with on a daily basis. The lack of respect for the military is sickening and the fact you all continue to push forward is amazing. Just remember to continue to drive on, because sometimes there's more to it, sometimes defending the guy to you left or right just means more than anyone can realize, and I'm sure you know this too well. God Bless you all! "THIS WE'LL DEFEND". HOOAH!!!
