been around awhile but i can't remember seeing so many red squirrels or pine depending on what you call it this far south in Butler co.seems everywhere you go you see I'm. always saw them up north in forest co. but not down here.

Just the opposite for me... most of the fox squirrels here int the southern part of the state. If I wanted grays or an occasional black I would travel north.
Either way your correct there are a ton!!!! I love popping them with the 17.

there are a ton of squirrels in general (all kinds) here in 5A
i am really looking forward to getting out with my 22 magnum this year, its been ages since i went hunting them ole' bushy tails and its high time i do ;D

im taking my 6 year old out next sat. it will be his first ever time hunting i think im more excited than he is . i cant wait to get him out there

i need to thin out the squirrel population where i bowhunt there driving me nuts! Seeing lots of fox and gray squirrel's! time to bust out the 22

I've been seeing quite a few squirrel, but the chippies, OMG!! I swear there's one every 5 ft at my grouse spot......would sure hate to archery hunt there, never saw so many in my life.

We went out Saturday and didnt see a single suuirrel but seen about 300 chipmunks. If there was a season on them we surley would have had our limit! Thats the first time i never seen a squirrel. Must have been cause of the high winds. IDK though.

I seen two black ones at camp in sring gob season this year going to camp this weekend to see if they are still there also seen a almost white chippy it was cool looking hope i can get some pics of them and the chippy.
