seems a lot of broadheads out there now are being made in one piece so they can be resharpened. is this a good setup or are you better off with replacement blades.

For ease of sharpening, the Montec G5 broadheads can't be beat! With their sharpening stone, just move the broadhead side to side with the same # of strokes on each set of blades! What could be easier!!

I tried sharpening my own the other year but didn't make out too well.

I always sharpen mine myself even when they are new out of the package. I just hate leaving any little detail to chance.

My Steelforce broadheads come with free lifetime sharpening by the manufacturer.
I just pay for the shipping and have from Jan until June to send them in

I don't resharpen them either. I even shot a buck 3 years ago with my muzzy practice head (buy accident) and it was a complete pass threw. Couldn't believe it myself but it did.

Of the fixed blade heads the 3-blade Montec style heads are the easiest of all to sharpen. But I have been shooting TH-100's for so long now, and keep a good supply of replacement blades on hand. I prefer replaceable.

I have no problem sharpening broadheads but you never get a good sense they are sharp enough. The G5 Strikers are so sharp they could take hair off a gnats backside.
