Gawd, that's OLD news. I did read a statement by him where he said since Tony Knight sold out the company, and although the overall quality still was ok, it left enough for him to be in doubt that he wasn't going to stay with Knight. Wonder what he'll do when T/C gets bought out.

Too late Smith and Wesson already bought T/C out last year.
I like Shockey----I think his shows are entertaining and exciting. I am sure T/C gave him a nice chunk to switch. But as stated by Gullythumper---After Tony Knight sold out he didn't have to keep his loyalty with Knight any longer.
Just my .2 cents

I agree that the money is most likely the first factor, but he did openly admit his distrust in the quality since they changed hands. Years back Toby Bridges left Knight for Savage, and I wonder what all his reasons were, if any, besides money.

I think it's bigger news that Chuck Adams switched to Mathews bows. That's a HUGE endoersement. He also went with Rage broadheads over fixed blades. (Maybe I should have saved this for the archery boards?)

Ok! Ok! They say confession is good for the soul! So here goes. I confess I switched from TC to NEF single shots. And yes, only for cynical financial reasons. And no, you haven't seen me on any hunting shows or read my riveting action packed articles about tree rat charges and about how they can really absorb alot of punishment from 45/70 rounds. But enough about that now. SO, if any TC/Smith and Wesson representatives want to woo me back to them. Well slip me a new Encore in .375H&H and You'll soon be reading about my exploits tracking the elusive and remote Octaroro Orphie, vicious Puxantawny Phil and that wily PA Lotto hog with my (did I mention in stainless steel with a leupold scope?) TC Encore. Because us hunting personalities are true to our convictions. Right Jim?
