Cains Outdoors in WVA is one of the best places for KNAPPED flints.

Really like Track of the Wolf. You can leave a message telling them what kind of Flints, flat topped, semi-humped, etc, and they will do their best to send you that type. And at $ 1.00 a piece guite a bargain....

I've used English flints for years, but have recently tried French amber flints, and when I took Loggy's advice and hammered a round ball flat and clamped that flint in lead, boy did I get sparks! Their both great flints, and I wouldn't hesitate using either.

i used to use T/C's cut flint till i bought some from track of the wolf....i just ordered them without thinking bout the humps eome people say they have to grind off with mizzy wheels....they sent me all flat ones and didn't even ask me bout it when i ordered them.....................bob
