If you want a new flintlock I would highly suggest you look at Don Yerks at Kennedy Firearms. He built mine and Im 100 percent happy with the work and the price. milerunmuzzleloaders.com/

Buck-----I gotta feeling you being the hunter type, would love a custom gun. I dont know how things are there financially, but like Loggy said---any flintlock would be better than NO Flintlock. If someone has the means to obtain a custom gun, even if it takes a year to save for, it sure beats spending 200-400 when you could have put that towards a Great gun. I have no regrets starting out with a production gun. I was one who went the long route to get a custom gun. Wish I had someone to advise me along the way.
