Been wonderin' about getting an informal black powder match together for folks. Tryin to do away with the nit picker rule book crowd and keep it fun. Maybe even let the in-line folks put their talk to the test. Can they really shoot those groups they brag about on an equal footing with a traditional gun, ie no scopes, and standing up like a man. Any thoughts?

The only rule book required is the saftey rules for any match. I too would like to see some of the groups the in-line people claim to make . by shooting offhand should test the man or woman and not the rifle.

Would definitely be an interesting match! I'd be game if we'd have a range convenient to all.

Im not sure Loggy...If not you could always leave it in the tent ---Ill keep a good eye on it. Just finished dying my canvas a brown color and treated it with Thompsons water sealant---yea I know Thompsons wasnt around yet---but it will keep my 6 year old dry if he goes camping with me.....I post a pic of "camp" when I get it all finised and set up.

I'm all for it, but I would appreciate it if we keep the targets at a reasonable distance. Many things are becoming extinct beyond 75 yards. I think it is global warming and the heat waves rising from the scorched earth.
