i have the chance to buy a TC - Penn Hunter Carbine flinter here locally, does anyone know what twist this flinter would have?
also...what would be a decent price on it, its 3 years old and was only fired about 12 or so times.
the guy told me he flinches bad when the flash pan ignites so he took it home, cleaned it and thats where its been ever since.
it also comes with a cleaning kit that was used once and all accessories needed to shoot it, including 1 pound of each 3f and 4f powder (although i am not sure if its still good) 4 brand new boxes of TC - brand sabots, and 2 boxes of round balls which is minus the couple shots he put through it
i searched everywhere on the web including the TC site and was unable to find any info on this gun, in fact i couldn't even find one on gunbrokers or gunsamerica's sites.
am supposed to go see check out the gun tomorrow evening and would like to know if its worth buying.

this gun is a 50 yard gun ,if you try and get anymore out of it you will beat yourself simple, as far as value not more than 250.00 in my opinion.....

I had a Pa Hunter carbine and it shot great(trigger needed some work, though). It has a 1:66" twist meaning roundball and patch. My favorite most accurtate load was 90gr fffg and a .015 patch.$250 sounds like a fair price for one.BTW,if you buy it,pm your address.I think I have an owners manual somewhere for it if you want it

thanks for the offer jimpic
it does have the manual with it if i decide to buy it, not sure now if i want to' if its strickly round ball.
never cared for the roundballs and i would definately want something that can shoot sabots, plus...i surely dont want to spend $200.00+ on something that won't shoot past 50 yards.
if thats what i wanted i would just stick with my xbow, maybe i should rethink this whole flintlock thing altogether
i just thought being i enjoy hunting with inlines so much, it might be fun to get into.
thanks for the input

Personally, I would never buy a carbine MLer. I favor longer barrels.
