I am going to the Keys fist week of June. I have 7 days with guide to fish for Tarpon and Bonefish. Been tying lots of flies.

I fish the salt usually one week a year when the whole extended family goes to Avalon NJ in August...I fly fish the salt every day, at least once a day. I don't even take the surf rod anymore, just the fly gear.
Have a blast!

I just bought a 9 wt flyrod and all that goes with it and am going to try salt water flyfishing. I took it out to a pond yesterday to se how it casts in the wind. I was pleasantly surprised at th distance.

Hey Buckman, I fish a number of places, but my favorites are Corson's Inlet State Park (just south of Ocean City) and at the southern inlet below Stone Harbor.

Hey Buckman, I have to say no, though maybe I should say, not yet... If you are hitting the Jersey Shore (the one in NJ), and need good info, check out the BassBarn at the link below. Best source of New Jersey saltwater fishing info I ever found. www.thebassbarn.com/
