Has anyone used this leader sytem ?
Whats your thoughts on them versus the loop connectors ?
seems to me easier to install in the feild being you'll not need a heat gun?

Well I'm assuming no one has used this type of system since there hasn't been a response........ I purchased a few and will post on my personal experience I think it may be alot easier than the loop connector, I may be wrong but plan to give them a try.

Not sure if its called the same thing....I use these little clear football shaped things with two holes and a slot....slip your fly line through one hole and knot it and slip the knot in the slot....same with the butt end of the leader...I just started using it this year and I like it....reels easily through your guides...does not create unneccesary drag on the water, affect cast, or anything...

Jakebird sounds very close indeed...only this system is in two, you do put the line through and knot fly line on one and leader on the other, then simply put the two together with a little twist to lock in...
It seems that it would be easier than the loop system ?? Glad to hear it doesn't effect casting and nothing to note about the drift...

I use them and I find it easy to switch out leaders when I'm night fishing. Trying to tie a nail-knot is murder when it's pitch black out.

leader connections are ok for night fishing.... But if you fish mostly during the day it's nice to be proficient in your knots. Cut the perfection loop off your flyline and just nail knot your leader on. The large nail knot helps roll over your leader and give you a softer "finesse landing" with your leader and tippet... just my 2 cents.
BUT... if you night fish a lot the leader connections are a must. You can learn to switch out in about 25 seconds.
