My favorite are my custom made units.
Bought spinner favorites would be a white/black roostertail or trout killer.
How about the rest of you guys?

Joe's Flies always worked for me. I guess i just go with what's working at the time I'm on the water.

Mine are the cast-masters or the small red devils.

I just don't like how the manufactured lures are made, thats why I make my own.
Joes Flies spinners are too light for me and are hard to start.
Roostertails don't spin for crap in slow water, and are hard to start.
Just my opinion.......

When I use Joe's Flies, I add a couple of splitshot about a foot above the spinner. This adds weight and makes it easier to cast and gets it down to the level I want to fish it at.
Not knocking home made spinners, I use a brand called "Treerat Specials" and have done real good with them.

I like rooster tail or the generic walmart hot tails..same thing....1/8 oz or 1/16 oz. I like chartreuse and fire tiger for fresh stocked fish and naturals like white black and brown for warier fish. Also done good with #0 gold panther martin fished a foot below a small black barrel swivel. Theory is they chase the swivel believeing it is an ant and then they nail the spinner. Not sure how true it is...an old fella told me it was his deadliest tactic...it does work very well, so who knows!

I like my treerat specials . They are home made ones . I usually stick with the inline blades (panther martin style). I also prefer painted blades over the silver or gold ones . I use a white blade most of the time .

Make my own spinners.... they catch trout when all else fails!!! Can't give away too many secrets, but they're loud and shiny.....
